John Rubin’s “American Eagle,” April 19th

Inland Northwest Land Trust is holding a fundraiser at the Bing Crosby Theater, April 19th at 5pm.  John Rubin’s “American Eagle,” a documentary about the year in the life of a bald eagle will be shown and followed by Q & A from Rubin.

Light appetizers will be provided and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Called to Care Conference, May 9th

The Faith and Environment Network will be putting on their 2nd annual, Called to Care Conference on May, 9th from 9:30am-2pm at at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 316 E 24th Ave, Spokane WA 99203.

The Called to Care Conference brings together community leaders and people of faith to share ideas and solutions for how to become more environmentally sustainable. A Panel Discussion featuring Peter Illyn of Restoring Eden, will provide practical advice for how your faith group can become more active in caring for Creation. Three workshops including information on energy retrofits, green cleaning and gardening will provide hands on experience with exciting ways your group can engage in activities to help heal and protect the Earth.

Lunch will be provided by One World Spokane. Registration is $15 per person or $10 per person for groups of three or more.

Volunteers Needed at Riverside State Park, April 25th

Riverside State Park is recruiting volunteers to help then a stand of small, overly dense trees from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, April 25th.  Volunteers and coordinators will meet at the Riverside State Park headquarters.
