Here at Earthworks Recycling, we’ve been waiting years for someone to make a website for local Earth Day events. Apparently, it turns out, everyone else was waiting for us to make an Earth Day Spokane website.

So we’ll be posting politically neutral information on earth friendly events.

Let us know about Earth Friendly events in Spokane and the Inland NW. Send us an e-mail, or give us a call at (509) 534-1638.

All posted earth friendly events are subject to approval by the webmaster.  Be sure to submit your event!  The less political, the better.  The shorter and sweeter, the better.  While we strive to be accurate and use what we believe to be accurate sources, we do not guarantee all information.  We try, though!  We aren’t able to screen events, therefore inclusion on this website is not an endorsement of any kind.  Thank you!

Spokane’s Earth Day celebrations have been happening regularly since at least the early ’90’s. There have been events to get businesses, non-profits, charities and residents of Spokane together to get informed about helping our Earth with topics such as conservation, recycling, renewable energy uses, green businesses, protecting habitats and the animals that live in them and general information about our environment.

The biggest celebrations have had booths for businesses and organizations that have an Earth friendly message or want to reach out to those people who care about our environment. Speakers, musicians, dancers and other acts have performed throughout the day at Riverfront Park.

One of the big activities that connects all of the Earth Day events together is the Procession of the Species. This is a project that children sign up to make masks of their favorite animals and conduct a parade through the park.

This event are usually free and open to the public. Check out our calendar of events!
