One World Spokane needs help in creating it’s stage-one Community Garden!

Our first work party will be this Saturday, April 18, from 10:00am-2:00pm.  Our main needs are as follows:

1)  Build Garden Boxes:   We have currently have enough lumber for approx 10 beds.  They are pretty simple to put together, but if you have a skill saw and/or electric drill with screwdriver bits, it would really help!  We are also in need of Long galvanized deck screws.

2) repot seedlings;   We have been donated over 200 seedling plugs which need to be repotted into larger containers.

3) turn, amend compost;  compost needs to be removed from bins, amended w/brown material and manure, and returned in layers.

4)  Spread bark;  we have a large amount of bark being delivered, and  it needs to be spread in the prep area.
