Come join the forum bringing together interested parties in residential energy conservation opportunities under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). There are three funding streams for energy conservation, including the Low Income Weatherization Program, the State Energy Program (SEP), and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG). Each have their own requirements, purposes, and application procedures. The common element among all three is the opportunity for coordination and collaboration for funds directed to residential energy conservation. While use of the funds may not have been determined yet for SEP and EECBG, it’s a good time to make local connections, identify local needs and opportunities, and determine next steps.
Our focus is on residential energy conservation and repair, as funded by ARRA. Attendees should include current low income weatherization and energy assistance service providers, utilities, non-profit organizations and small business examining ARRA opportunities, municipalities applying for EECBG funds, and other interested parties.
Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided
